"It all started nearly a year ago, wow this might turn nostalgic, anyhow Me (dr_grogg), Monsquaz and Patrick May came to a point in our lives where we met each other. So we decided to make some music together.
And music we did. At first it really sucked but pretty soon we started to get the hang of it and the collection of songs had in the end turned into..... 10 songs.
Six of those songs are now released as the "Toolshed homage". A toolshed homage in this case is a a box of screws and screwdrivers where peoples mind blow in. The result is captured by Me, Monsquaz and Patrick in big bowls. We later put them into our modified Mac and Pc's for remixing. When we remix them we also add our own touch of midis and other samplings together with the "mindblows". The results in a first study can be heard here."

"Conv is proud to present this electroacustic live session (london, summer 2004) by these three well-known gentlemen of the free improvisation: Bruce Russell, Eddie Prevost and Mattin, three different generations in an unique event. Together this threesome of post-materialist thinkers compose a sinewy orchestra-piece of skin, bones, creaking seats, sharpened fingernails & sharpened nerves. Investigating and penetrating their materials by means of cutting, bowing, scraping, raking, breaking, shattering & digital granulation, they stand in the tradition of the benjaminian (after this most mystic of materialists) science in their salvation from aesthetic denial of these most unlistenable sonic components. With as the grand finale: a voice - in the audience? from the artists? from behind the sound console? - announcing that something has in fact broken free, been brought out into the open in a groan of wonderous & amazed release... liner notes by Mark Pauwen "

" 'Play' is the first in a series of releases by Lee Rosevere that focus on his experimental, ambient and imaginary soundtrack works. Some of these recordings have been played on internet radio in the past, but many of these recordings are being released for the first time, combining tracks recorded over 10 years ago with brand new compositions."
Track info:
1. One Fan Spinning The Wrong Way (19:58)
Created from a live mix of a high-speed 4-track and a regular 2-track cassette player, with original previously recorded sounds. Each tape wasn't marked, so I had no idea what was coming, except for the theme bookended at the beginning and end. Everything was also run through an effects processor during the mix, which was also controlled live. (1997)
2. The Final Jump (3:01)
Constructed from many overlapping classical orchestral pieces, then run through a ridiculous noise reduction setting, and reverbed the heck out of it. (2005)
3. Red Smoke (6:59)
Atmospheric riff sampled into an old digital sampler that could only hold a maximum of 4 seconds. Looped and played back at various tones and reverbed. (1994)
Produced, mixed and performed by LR.

New indie tunage on QUEEP ORGANIC MUSIC
"Imaginative & talented Russian electronica producer has just passed on his latest creation, a 7 tracker entitled "MAGNETIC FIELDS", and we have chosen our favourite 3 tracks from the mini-album, out now on Romanian netlabel aRhiva7. The cd is a sparse and hypnotic journey thru the deeper regions of chilled-out tunage with touches of ethnicity thrown into an accomplished work."
"Our 3 brand new chosen downloads are all taken from the "MAGNETIC FIELDS" mini-album, now being distributed over the net by the Romanian netlabel aRhiva7. Its sticks to D-JET's tried and trusted formula of tracks that explore the deepest regions of electronica tunage. The choice of sounds and samples used create some very unusual vibes, with all sorts of flavours popping up along the journey. This guys imagination knows no boundaries. As with the previously featured album, we have choosen 3 of the more melodic and upbeat numbers to pass onto you guys, so make sure you check out the full album for the full experience."
"SIDD-DU" is a beakbeaty affair with a meaty bassline and some cool guitars floating about, amongst large scale effecting. "DRUNKLAND" is a quirky number with a very ethnic feel, most due to the Aisan beats and moody overall vibe. If ever a track suited its title, then this is it! We round things off with "BACKSTAIRS", a short and imaginative tune that opens with the sound of footsteps, which become the tempo of the track, kicking back along with the highly melodic synths."

"2 more fantastic productions from the established French producer/dj, bordering between progressive house and THAT electro-infleunced sound doing the rounds most recently, though this man was one of the Europeans championing his own version for many years. With releases on SOMA/BMG/ZEBRA 3 and many more, and his own label FRESHIN' MUSIC just begun life, DA FRESH has been on a roll for some time now."
"EMPTY NIGHT" is one of our favourite DA FRESH tunes on offer. Its melody is instantly addictable and the track has a very sexy funk to it overall. It has a certain mistique too, possibly coming from the mixture of synths as the track builds in melodic rhapsody, coupled with the bassline, a big juicy affair. We thought that this track has a real edge to it. This is DA FRESH's funk in full effect.
"GONNA MAKE DIS" is possibly the darkest tune we have featured by DA man. Its phat beats rock alongside the excellent pulsating bass & synths, and would surely do some damage on the more proggy floors. Even though the track is dark, it still remains full of melody throughout, and packs a severe punch the whole way through, uplifting to the end."
